Hoping to get this Burb

http://spokane.craigslist.org/cto/4760755886.html
The guy is waiting to see if the people who contacted him before me come thru. If they flake it's mine. It is a bit of a drive but not too bad. But if it's in as good a shape as he says should be a good deal even without a title.

"Engine appears wanting." Ha yeah I'd say it might have a slight vacuum leak. Looks like a great start, hope you get it. You can't beat the price.

Re: Hoping to get this Burb

Yeah, that looks to be in decent shape and a good price.

If the seller was the one who's name would be on the title, a lost title can be filed for and transferred to you at the same time. If that is the case, stop by the courthouse before you go down there and pickup a lost title form. Then have the guy sign it and get it notorized. Probably have to go to St Maries for that. That would save you a trip down there again.

I asked if he has any way to get a title and he said no. I read up on abandonded vehicles and if someone leves a car on private property for more than 24 hours you can get a title for it. Either way I can get one trough VT DMV or have a guy out here who owns a shop to get a mechanic lein. No title is not as scary as everyone thinks. Unless it's stolen lol.

The ad says:

I doubt the "no rust" part- I think they all left the factory with rust in the lower front fenders... and window locks missing

Even if it was shrink wrapped and put in a room with a super heavy duty de-humidifier it would rust. He sent me his number and I'm hoping to go take a look today. It's 90 miles away but there is a casino on the way so maybe I will see if the Indians will pay for it for me.

Good luck. Looks like a sweet deal if you can get past the title issue.

Re: Hoping to get this Burb

I decided to not get it. With the title and having to find a way to get it to my house it was going to more than I have for play money. Oh well maybe I'll just pay a bill or something. lol

Re: Hoping to get this Burb

Yeah, I was being sarcastic about that.......I don't see him doing much of anything unless there is money involved.
