Male & female connectors

1964 short stepper. I am about to replace some shoddy wiring. What are the male & female connectors in the plugs at the firewall called & where to buy them, plus the crimper?
Thanks Larry

Re: Male & female connectors

Not sure which connectors need repair, but you can replace the whole harness
here's one at classic parts http://www.classicparts.com/1964-66-.../#.VGprwhstC74
They and other vendors have different replacement harnesses.

Re: Male & female connectors

Thanks for the replies. I just need to replace a few wires, not the whole harness. Thus what is needed is the brass wire connectors that go into the plug.

Re: Male & female connectors

What you need are Packard 56 terminals. You can get them at NAPA but they are stupid expensive there. Check this ebay search for what you need.
