Is anyone else having trouble fitting repro doors to original cab? Specifically the door jamb latch?

Almost like the doors are made wrong.......

You have tried moving the door jam around?

They used shims as well, it might do you some good to try and remove them and see if that helps at all?

I got them working. Required 5 shims per side. Then had to counter sink the bolts so they wouldn't rub the doors.

Has to be the door because I didn't change the cab.

You'll find the radius of the top rear edge of the glass channel of the reproduction doors does not match the radius of the factory cab door opening , Also they almost always need to be cut and re welded to fit and it's near impossible to correct the radius issue ,Will they work ? Sure are they the same as original ? No way ! Always try to find original parts when possible . the time spent repairing your old doors or good original replacements just may be worth it when possible .Reproduction does not mean perfect fit.

many new owners (not you) tear their trucks down and toss the repairable rusty parts thinking the new shiny dent free reproductions are the way to save money on their rebuild and then get the bad news from their body shop of the countless hours needed to make their "new" parts come close to fitting . Most parts suppliers sell different parts with different stickers that come from the same manufacture ! Always look for repairable originals in my opinion !

Luck of the draw. I had one door fit really great and the other one not as well. I also found some crappy work on the drip rails which may be why the one side doesn't fit as well, but it's close enough for my driver

i also have replacement doors on the truck i have just bought. the drivers door fits ok, after moving and shimming. however the passenger door the gaps are too big between the fender and the rear of the cab. the doors measure the same each side, ?.more work is needed to get it acceptable at present, also the topof the door hoop as explained above is the wrong shape? Are the passenger doors worse than the drivers in the repo stuff?
