Carpet

Did our CST Blazers come from the factory with carpet installed on the rear wheel well housings?

Re: Carpet

No. But all of the aftermarket carpet kits include these pieces.

Re: Carpet

On a related note, I found the carpet made installing the reproduction rear panels difficult as the clearance was tight and seemingly didn't accommodate the added width of the carpet. I got them on but would have been easier without wheel well carpet (and if I had removed the top). The repro panels make use of a melamine-like hard backing rather than cardboard like original panels have so have less flex.

I ran into this also. My solution was to carefully remove the upholstery from the original panels and make new ones that were slightly smaller. I trimmed a half inch from the bottoms of the new ones and then re-adhered the covers with 3M Weatherstrip adhesive. Now they fit great.

Re: Carpet

My side panels are coming from Truck world and should have been trimed to facilitate the carpet thickness.
