Restoring a 1965 Short wide! ole Blue
Well the 71 big block is almost completed so I had to start another project!!! its a 1965 factory short wide with custom cab. I have a new crate base 350 engine, and a rebuilt 700-r4 to go into it. should be a kool little cruiser. I started it about 2 months ago and have the frame and suspension being powder coated right now, and the body is being painted as well. short of the late drive train it will look all factory original. factory height and stock wheels/tires. and my favorite colors.. Light blue and white...
will keep you posted! Dave

Re: Restoring a 1965 Short wide! ole Blue
worked Sunday on truck, built rear brakes, installed rear hub caps, completely dissembled, cleaned, painted and rebuilt steering column then installed. noticed cab a little too close to trans. need to shim body about 3/8 of an inch. installed new NOS wiper trans arms. installed dome lamp and wire. instrument cluster set in dash.
pretty good day!

Re: Restoring a 1965 Short wide! ole Blue
Looks great!
This is the same color mine was OEM, can you take a picture of the inside of the door that shows where you broke the interior color from the exterior color? Thanks,
