2008 Chevy Silverado WT - Cruse Control

Just began noticing a problem with the Cruse Control on my company truck . It seems the Cruse Control will not function in the morning , when everything is cold . Latter on , when the interior warms up , it will start working & will continue to do so , for the remainder of the day .

My first guess is that the fault is in the controls on the steering wheel ?

Anyone having a pdf of the wiring diagram for the Cruse Control , I would be grateful .

Thanks , :-)

I had an 08 sierra wt and the cruise didn't work either. after some researching on here, someone suggested that I replace the brake switch on the brake pedal. and i'll be darned it worked. $30 for the part(don't remember the part# but it worked.

Mine all I have to do is put my foot under the brake pedal and lift up and it works fine after that for a while. I would imagine the switch is out of adjustment on the pedal but to lazy to look.

Re: 2008 Chevy Silverado WT - Cruse Control

Tried to look for the switch . But , it seams I will need to move all the stuff from behind the front seat . To allow the seat to move further back and give more room to bet my old fat body down in the floorboard . So I can , hopefully look for the switch , under the dash . :-(

God bless

Brake light switch is fairly cheap and easy to replace. Only .4 hours and $21 from dealer (pt #15861245)
