It's still $1.59 here in Minnesota, I hope it doesn't go that high...

i don't think so cuz our main source of gas is a pipe line from Tuson and it broke so thats why they prices are so high and most of the stations are shutting down cuz of it.

No kidding. I have a full tank in both the trucks and the 72 Nova is about 4 miles to the gallon, so I am not bothering with it for awhile...although I have to try to pass emissions with it this week.
Last I saw there were lines up and down the street for the last few stations that were open. Douglas.

We don't have the gas lines here in Sacramento, but the prices are going up. It was around $1.59 not too long ago, now it's at least around $1.89 or more.

PS: I like it when the news reports "shortage of gas and heating oil." Who the hell in the northern hemisphere is using heating oil in August?

I was told that there is a broken pipe in Arizona. Now we all will have to pay more for who knows how long.

I think if someone farts at a refinery they use that as an excuse to raise gas prices too. They find any way to bend the consumers over.

The prices are jumping here in Tucson. Two weeks ago Shamrock (a bulk outfit) had regular 87 at $1.43, last week it was $1.49. The other day Chevron was asking $1.69 for 87. Somebody's getting rich and it sure ain't me.

Prices are going up in Virginia too, but they aren't that high yet. We're at 1.49 a gallon. It sucks. If this crap keeps up I'll have to revolt and start driving my bike again.... after all, what they really want is for us to not buy gas.

At $2.00/gallon, my truck will be parked for awhile. Supposedly, once the Tucson pipeline is fixed/tested, prices will go down again here in Phoenix. Of course it only takes a DAY to raise prices, but a WEEK to lower them.

Gas here has gone up .30 cents in the past few weeks. Not as bad as some of you guys but we went from 1.29-1.59 in no time. (that's the cheap stuff)
My 409 gets the Premium and that's 169.9

the problem isn't the shortege of gas its the distribution of it, all the sations have plenty of gas there just taking advantage of the broken gas line.

Gas prices have been creeping up here. THe oil companies use any number of lies to raise prices and they dont give a crap if anyone complaines because everyone needs gas at one time or another no matter what. The only thing that will ever get these companies in line is if government regulation occurs.

speaking of the power outage and gas prices, When we lost power, the next day when the power went back on and everyone was out of gas, the SOB's that own the stations jump the prices of gas to nearly a dollar a litre....i think there's about 3 litres in a gallon btw. ALMOST $3 a GALLON!!!!! Oh yeah, and all the stores that had ice doubled and tripled the price of that too!!!
......scum...it's pretty sad that some people choose to take advantage of our misfortune to make their own fortune!!!!
