Question Forged vs Cast Crankshaft

I am building a Big Block for my 72 Burb. Starting with a 1995 454
It has a 4.10 14bolt rear and a TH400 tranny
I want to be able to pull my #14000 trailer sometimes but also have another truck with a Duramax so it won't happen very often. I am thinking about going with a 4.25 stroke and am looking for advise on forged vs cast.
There is a big difference in cost and I am wanting to go as cheep as possible without having to do it twice.
Peace
Kent

Re: Forged vs Cast Crankshaft

The Scat 4.25" cast cranks are know to be a quality piece that will hold a substantial amount of power.
