The Big Blue BEAST project

After about 5 hours of work we decided to call it quits for the night and here is what he had so far.

Here is a final sketch I did of what we want it to look like when we're done.

A few days later we picked up the project again and started where we left off.

Tonight we spent a lot of time adjusting and tweaking the last few measurements to make sure the rack would accommodate everything I needed it to.

After searching all over I finally found a shop that had the 33X12.5x15 tire that I was needing in stock.

I'm most likely going to install it without the rectangular trim plate.

Re: The Big Blue BEAST project

Finally finished the centerfold project and boy was it ever a project. The compressor is up and running, the led lighting is working flawlessly, and the USB charger is charging. I'm absolutely in love with my truck and wouldn't trade it for anything. I have many more project to come so stay tuned.

Finally found the time to finish up the center console project.

Re: The Big Blue BEAST project

I tried to finish installing the amp tonight but the mid 20 degree weather and 20-30 mph wind gust forced me back inside. I did however take some pictures of the factory lighting showing the lows vs highs vs low and high vs low and highs on bright. What I mean by that is the truck has 4 head lights, one set for lows (bottom) and one set for highs (top). The previous owner swapped the highs with lows and ran a relay which would allow the lows and highs to run at the same time and would increase the brightness of both if the highs were engaged.

LOWS

HIGHS

LOWS AND HIGHS

LOWS AND HIGHS ON BRIGHT

Re: The Big Blue BEAST project

Purchased this big blue beast from a fellow form member who purchased it from another forum member. Here are a few pictures of her the day I picked her up.

Re: The Big Blue BEAST project

The very first thing I wanted to fix was the paint bubbles on the hood and the rock chip on the grill. I headed to the local hardware store and picked up some rustoleum flex-dip, painters tape, and a new newspapers.

I'm really happy with the final product and it makes the truck look a 1000x better.
