Fuel Guage

I want to know if anyone has had the fuel Guage needle on the 4 o'clock position and how to fix it. Everything is plugged in. Any suggestions?

Re: Fuel Guage

Check the ground for the dash and if all else fails trace the wire back to the gas tank.

Re: Fuel Guage

I had the same problem, it was the ground wire.
I like the Cheyenne.

If you have doughts on your tan wire, run a temporary one from the sending unit to the number 4 position on the gauge cluster connector or go directly to the gauge. It will be the terminal on the passenger side of the gauge or the right looking at the gauge installed in the dash.

It can never be said enough to check the grounds. How does the rest of your gauges work? If your fuel gauge is the only problem, the common problem is the ground at the sending unit. Make sure it is grounded to the sending unit and not the tank.

See the link VetteVet posted and ask questions if you need to.

Have a good holiday,
Tom
