Probable 503 gas engine , definite Mack rears with the protrusions on axle flanges .

That truck has the most ridiculously stout set of rear springs I've ever seen!

It needs to be hung on a garage wall as art/sculpture.

The garage wall would collapse... By the length of the front I'd say it was intended to house a big (long) engine.

Yeah, I noticed that too. If not just a simple tune-up, it will probably be needing some Valve work.
