Re: LQ 9 Install in 72 BLAZER
I used my all of my existing small block parts. I had to modify the lower part of the crossmember and make adapter plates. Less than $100.00 with powder coating.

Home made adapter plates. Engine mounted in the standard rear small block position.

Re: LQ 9 Install in 72 BLAZER
I think when I do my K10 I'll be using dirty dingos crossmember. Pacific fab has one also. Requires s&w suspension lift but 2" lift big deal
In a 4x4 LSx crossmember must be modified |

Re: LQ 9 Install in 72 BLAZER
Wasted how far along are you since these photos? I'm curious to see how the clearance is and how much suspension lift may or may not be needed

Re: LQ 9 Install in 72 BLAZER
You could say it's pretty far along. lol.
Sorry for the pic barrage but here are the only pics I could find that might hint at the clearance. It's got a 4" Skyjacker softride on it.

Re: LQ 9 Install in 72 BLAZER
Yea I think that 2 or 2.5" would probably be enough as long as it's not a rock bouncer or something. For a street truck...no problem.
