Door latch control
I want to replace the door latch control (part the handle goes on) on my drivers door. Parts suppliers show a different part number for the 72. Why is that? I have a 71 with 72 doors (my doors have the screw by the vent window). I have a replacement part but it is for the pass side. It is slightly different but appears to be interchangeable. Anyone know what is different with the 72 latch control? Are they interchangeable?

Re: Door latch control
The 72 latch had a longer shaft because of the difference in door panels.
