Black or Painted A/C Diverter Ball Housings?
Just wondering on a 1967 GMC were the ball housings originally black or the dash color? My interior is fawn but the steering column and glove box door is that gunmetal color. I'm thinking they were originally black but can't find a picture to verify.

My 69 has black. My interior is also black. I've seen some painted and some black. I don't know if that depends on year, assembly location, interior color or what. Good question. I'm also curious what determined the color.

My 68 GMC came from the factory with black housings even though the truck was blue/blue

Re: Black or Painted A/C Diverter Ball Housings?
That's kind of what I was thinking. I think I saw a picture of an original 67 somewhere with black housings but I can't find it now. My dash pad and visors were black so I think black housings would look the best.
