Rebuilt 73-77 Floor shift tilt steering column

This is a floor shift tilt steering column removed from a 1974 Chevy truck with a 4 speed. This is correct for 73-77 trucks and will work in the 78-83 trucks with the correct intermediate shaft. It has been disassembled and rebuilt with all new upper bearings. It is in really good shape and would only need a repaint to be show quality. Last picture is to show that it was completely disassembled. Still looks very good for a driver. Price is $320 FIRM NOT including shipping

I have had it for a long time and I haven't made any real effort to sell this. There was a period where I was rebuilding quite a few steering columns for customers. I just kind of got away from doing it. It is quite a bit of work and takes a lot of time. Most of it is clean time. The actually putting together only usually takes 1-2 hours depending on what style column and how out of practice I am. This column is just stored away in a spare bedroom for now so it may still be there when you are ready unless I get crazy and list it on eBay or something.

Im gonna pass on the column. This is the second time I've tried to buy something from u and gotten zero response. Not sure why u won't sell me parts but that's ok. Good luck in your sale.

No problem. Keep in mind it is a holiday weekend and most people spend it with their families!

Re: Rebuilt 73-77 Floor shift tilt steering column

I am notified once a day of a the new responses,PMs and new posta. Sometimes things get missed. Look at how many for sale posts that I have and how many posts I have in the regular forums. It just happens. You are relatively new to this forum. We are truck guys.. These are real trucks and we have real family lives. Most of our lives don't revolve around this forum. If it is the difference between me spending time with my family on Thanksgiving or selling you a column so be it! These are trucks and this is a great forum. Relax a little bit and enjoy the ride!

Re: Rebuilt 73-77 Floor shift tilt steering column

OH I understand fully as I Have a 2 year old and the only real time that I had to find parts is late night or holidays. The only reason I want the tilt column is so I can put current seats in my truck then I can put a car set in. Sorry for bein a dick about it.

No worries! Good luck on your hunt! They can be found at decent prices if you are willing to rebuild them yourself. Unless it has been recently rebuilt, I would suggest tearing whatever you find down. I have had many columns that seem tight but when you get to the lower bolts, they still aren't snugged down. Just good piece of mind. No reason to put one in and not much later down the road have to rebuild it.

Guys, this is all boxed and ready to go. Previous interested party changed his mind due to me not responding over Thanksgiving weekend!

Re: Rebuilt 73-77 Floor shift tilt steering column

Hey I'd like to get your column. Can I get the shipping quote to 48327. I don't really have time to try and find one right now. I like the idea of trying to rebuild it myself but my job and kid take up all of my time.
