I got 2 members who's name is going to get posted!!
Here is the deal I got 2 members who pm'd me about parts they say they want, I box them, tell them shipping price and NO MONEY comes. I pm them a few different times and ask if they still want the stuff and they say yes but now I pm the and don't hear anything from them. One of them is going on 2 1/2 months and I see him trying to buy stuff on here now, the other is 1 1/2 month and he claims he sent me 2 different payments. I haven't recieved either. Now its not the money issue because its not a whole lot of it but its the idea that we have some members screwing with me and possibly others of you out there. I try to get along with everyone and I really don't want to run anyone down BUT I'm giving them till the end of the week and then I'm going to POST their names so everyone can see and NOT DEAL with them!!!!! Sorry for so long but I don't like getting screwed with!!! Randy

You did your part by giving "fair warning" .... now let's see if they live up to their end of the deal. If not, post their names.

im under the impression that its against board rules to do that because a similar suggestion was made on a different thread. If indeed it is leagal maybe you should post it on the general discussion as people buy for several different genre trucks and they might not know a certain person is a bad apple if they dont read this particular forum

I don't know if its illegal to do it or not, I've pm'd both of them and I'm giving them till the weekend and I'm posting their names. We need to have some kind of standard to go buy I've gave one of them months now to get it to me its not like its been a couple weeks. I'll post it on GD board too if I have too. I'm not trying to a whiney a$$, as I said in a earlier post I don't treat people that way so I don't want treated that way. Thanks Randy

Randy and I just finished a transaction last week. He went to all the trouble to box up, and ship a two-piece automatic driveshaft.
...now it wasn't EXACTLY what I wanted, but it's not his fault! I didn't ask a couple of key questions, but even so I'm NOT going to jack with him because I was a bonehead about it. Heck I can probably use the driveshaft one day anyway, so I'll tear it down, clean it up, and keep it for later. End of story. As far as Randy is concerned he was good on his word. I can't ask for anything more. If the two jack-asses in question can't at least be honest and give him a heads-up they don't want the items then they're just being lazy and disrespectful. -my opinion.

Randy, you know my feelings on this.
I do make mistakes sometimes and give everyone on here the freedom to nail me if I deserve it. I have had two deals this past month go South and they know who they are. I PM'd each and requested that they no longer respond to my threads. And Randy, should see you soon. Target date on newby is 27th.

this was my reply on your last post....
First let me say,,,Ive never bought any parts or sold any parts on this board. Ive seen posts where either they didn't receive the parts after payment was made,,,or they sent the parts and never got any money,Always the same reply,,…"ive emailed him,& ive pm'd him numerous times and he wont reply to me!What ive" never" seen on any post is ,"He won't return my calls" ,Don't you guys
require a phone # when doing inter-state deals???????When the time comes forme to buy parts from the board, and its gonna happen, im gonna require a phone# from whoever I buy from !!If they don't wanna give me a number we WONT be doing business,CASE CLOSED! I've only got 100 or so posts here, but I can tell you there are guys like,, ,LONGHORNMAIL, TEEITUP ,RANDY70C-10, KRUE,,,, that I would have no problem buying things from!I don't know any of them personally, and I don't even know theyre names, Its just the way they present them selves on this board…..I hope I didn't pis* anyone off ,cause that wasn't my intent at all, and maybe you guys DO require a phone #.I've just never heard anyone say anything about phone calls…..one last thing,,, if you read this and your name didn't appear on my list, don't reply asking why I didn't pick you…these were just a few names that came to mind while writing this post.jeff///http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...&pagenumber=40 its on the last page,,,i still think you guys should be doing business over the phone,,,jeff Last edited by jef5150; 08-19-2003 at 09:09 PM. |

I think the only thing on the other post was not to post personal info like phone numbers and addresses I believe it is ok and probably deserved to get the board names out here so we all can see.

I get tire kickers all the time. Doesn't bother me really because now I won't even package the item until I get the money. The only deal that didn't turn out for me was the one with REUMSTER. I sent him his custom lower door panels he requested back in March and never recieved the item I was supposed to get in exchange. Oh well, it just shows you can't go by number of posts a person has. Life goes on..............

I agree that it is a matter of trust. I've done business with Longhornmail and sent cash via US mail. Most of you probably wouldn't do this but I fully trust Longhornmail and the part was $20. I figured it would be easier on his end if he got cash. I wouldn't do this with everyone on this board but some I will. My big thing is if you make a deal you stick to it. No excuses. Some sellers might not agree. They may find out after they've already made the deal that their part is worth more than they thought. Back to the rule, the deal is already done, no excuses. This works for the buyers too. You make the deal, you live with it. If I needed a part for my truck and I made a deal for a part and totaled the truck the next day. I would still pay for the part and receive it. It may be listed immediately for sale the next day by me but that's my problem. Just me two cents to this mess.

I have sent Andy cash as well and never thought twice about it. He's the man around here and everybody knows him!. I like the way Big Orange phrased it about payin' and playin'!

Rather than post names and possibly get yourself in trouble why not put a link on your signature. Just build a real quick web page and update it when you need to. Anyone that sees a post from you has the option of seeing the deadbeats and can decide to do business with them or not. You could provide as much or as little detail as possible. If you need help let me know, takes no time and it doesn't use much space on a server.

I have my own policy. First off, I feel that Randy is a "stand up guy" and for anyone to use this site, they should be as honest as possible or go hit the Ford site. I, myself, have sold several parts and sent before receiving payment. Ive only been stiffed once. Bigger things, like complete trucks are a different story. Payment in advance is paramount. Its rather hard to get your money or your truck back if its is across the country. My feelings are that a mans word is his contract. if a deal is made, that is it. Period. If I sell anything, I always try to throw an extra something to make everyone happy. I have so many parts that Ill never have to worry about some small item that someone else may have been looking for at every salvage yard for years. I get alot of satisfaction in dealing with these trucks and Ive made many friends here on the website. I plan to continue to deal with anyone that has the same values that I take pride in myself as having. Good luck to you all in your dealing. I know that some hate to send anything before payment but, I would look at the history of anyone that you are dealing with and maybe get an opinion or 2, from some of the "old timers" here as to weather or not payment should come before the part. Alot of cases, the part is needed yesterday to get the truck back on the road. These are the things that need to be considered. Just my 6 2/3 cents worth

Almost forgot, Hats off to Zoomy. I got an email this morning that stated he was sending the mirrors we had made a deal on. His statement was, check them out. If I like them, send a check. If not, send them back. You can't ask more than that. I do have his payment taped to my computer and it is going in the mail. Like them or not, They would have to have been run over by a Peterbuilt to be in any cond that I would not accept them. I do understand that one mirror has a chip. To me, That at this time dosnt seem to be a big deal. These are going on a truck that it shouldnt be a big deal. I just want the correct mirrors that will fit the truck without any new holes drilled.

I have to say post there names !!! I would !! I have had the same thing happen to me, and now I don't really try and sell anymore parts, I got tired of the BS.. I think that we should have a comlpaint thread that is sticky... showing the name of the people the have jurked us around.. IMO.
also IMO I think that you randy are a good guy and you should not have to deal with these persons BS.... post there name, the only ones that get hurt are the two guys... Landon P.S. it is not me is it !! :p
