Bed side tool boxes & components
Working on the tool box. oh yeah. through out the years iv noticed plenty of ford trucks with the integrated tool box but i have never seen a chevy with the option. iv searched around for some info, havnt found a lot. im good on the door, lock, and hinges but the 'insert' is missing. i have the notion its easier to find a guy selling mogwais in china town than a rebuild-able, oe, nos 'insert'. Thanks!!http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...7939063:metal:

Re: Bed side tool boxes & components
Hello,
They do come up from time to time. I have saw two of them at the Pick-n-Pull yards in the last year. I will try and post a link to one that might still be for sale. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...light=tool+box Paul |

Re: Bed side tool boxes & components
. . . .
That door and side panel are in great shape - most, like mine, are NOT !!! Just for your information, if you want it to look " correct " you're going to need the metal, quarter round shaped door support, . . . as seen in the picture, below. This isn't mine, but mine is just like it. ( same type screw too ) I placed a " wanted-to-buy " add on here and found one fairly quickly. . . . . |

Since you ARE going for the correct look, you'll need to ad another hinge for the middle. ( mine had three originally ) To place a " wanted-to-buy " add, you'll have to become a supporting member. The BEST $25 I've spent . . . where else could I have found that door support rod ? !!!!!!! . . . . |
