Consoles for Suburbans
Has anyone used, or made a console for their Suburban/Panel that still has the original seat? I want one for mine that goes from the seat all the way to the firewall(floor mount of course) up to the bottom of the dash. Any pictures of yours?
Thanks |

Re: Consoles for Suburbans
OK no answer for Suburban consoles. What about pickup consoles with original and aftermarket seats? I need some ideas.

You-tube has a couple vids on Custom built console's, make a basic pattern out of cardboard and start banging it together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSjfKLH9P20

Re: Consoles for Suburbans
Great Video did the same thing for my old 65 Chevy II 4 door and had it sitting on the floor when I sold it. I have access to lots of cardboard as I work retail, so I can work on this and my transmission at the same time.
Thanks for telling me about the video |

Re: Consoles for Suburbans
Here is another interesting 1!...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_K3d4-yI14 depending on material you are going to use, I found Home depot has Aztek 4 x 8 x 1/2 " PVC sheets cuts a little easier than wood.. about 2x the price of a good sheet of plywood. I used it for side panels in my Blazer. comes in white ( I Painted these)

Re: Consoles for Suburbans
Thanks. notsolo. Going to get some cardboard and at least get a mockup first. Since I can't drive it because of lousy mileage, I might as well work on the interior until I can get my trans fixed.
