Big "little" Tow truck
I had a contractor in my area today and this was their tow truck. Funny thing is that it's a pintle hook only tow truck! Flat bed on it was 2x1 steel and 1/8 plate. I have to admit... I wanted it! Lol

Pretty cool truck.
Evidently a former Road Tractor.

Re: Big "little" Tow truck
Hey, it's diesel..................probably powered with a 6V92 with up to 350 HP and about 1000 lb.ft of torque and a 9 or 10 speed transmission , so it would tow a trailer well .

Re: Big "little" Tow truck
The company is URS they do our environmental remediation. This tractor has an easy life of pulling a trailer of 96-330 cubic foot nitrogen bottles they use to force the iron/water mixture into the wells that are deep in the soil.
Anyway... It cool and I wanted to share it with you all.

Nice Freightliner. Must not be too old though since it looks like it's got the rectangular headlights.

Re: Big "little" Tow truck
I know where a single axle day cab Titan sits on a farm north of me. That thing is so short you better not blink or you'll miss it. I think about pulling in and asking about it every time I pass by. Hasn't moved since I first noticed it quite a few years back. Not sure what I'd do with it, but I'd be lookin' for a kidney belt I think
