86 s10 questions
I bought an 86 Chevy s10 2.5 l 4spd and have a few questions about emmissions. I live near London, ont Canada and was wondering if someone can tell me if it needs an e test and if not can I run it without a catalytic converter. Thanks.

Re: 86 s10 questions
I would keep the cat on it unless its super high performance you will not see a benefit to removing it and it might actually effect performance. For something that old I wouldn't think they would but you can always ask them to see if they would, here in the states its just a visual check for emissions where in other places they put them on the sniffer in England.

Ya the only reason I might take it off is cause its starting to fall apart and I don't want to buy a new one if it doesn't need it

Re: 86 s10 questions
Well they might have an issue trying to inspect it. Cat is an emmision thing and if it doesn't have it it would technically be illegal at least here in the states, not sure with Canada but I feel they be the same way.
