Manual choke on a 68?

My 68 originally had a manual choke. When I bought the truck, it was disconnected and coiled up behind the dash. I would like to use it again, as the carb currently has a divorced choke and I want to eliminate it. The carb is a q-jet but I'm sure it is not the original. Does anyone have pictures of how it is set up? I have no idea where the cable is supposed to exit the firewall, and I assume there is some sort of bracket or brackets required to connect it to the carb? Thanks!

Re: Manual choke on a 68?

Thanks for the pics, I guess I should mention it is a V8 and I think the cable attaches to the opposite side of the carb.

It does not function and I want to put the manual cable back on.

Re: Manual choke on a 68?

All the choke parts appear to be there. Easier to fix what you've already got.
What doesn't it do?
Since there weren't any manual choke quadrajets, you'll need to mickey mouse up some brackets to make it work.
