Nice truck and I guess for a short box in that condition is priced right. Now if I was wanting a truck like that as LeddZepp pointed out the spray in box liner would stop me from buying it.

It's not because I'm a purest, but the bedliner definitely detracts from it's appeal and value to me. Original paint...except the inner bed has a modern coating applied to last forever. It just cheapens it. It's either all original paint or not, and it's not. To do it right, bedliner goes on after paint. If the paint in the bed looked that bad, I'd rather see new paint in there

Looks cool, and you can use it as it was intended. The spray in bed liner would not be a deal killer for me.

I would of hid the boxliner under the rails and take the time and get a green liner. I had boxliner tinted for my car undercoat-perfect match

Whomever the new owner of this truck is going to be could easily do all of that still. Just so things don't get too misunderstood, I think jocko was simply pointing out a very nice, mostly original truck. I see nothing wrong with helping another lover of these trucks trying to help a brother out.

My apologies. My main point is, that its getting harder and harder to find an truck of this vintage (45yrs) that isn't well used and abused, and for the most part unmolested. It still is a very nice truck, despite some minor issues.

The modern bed coating is a high quality product applied properly, not a cheap roll in do-it-yourself kit from Pep Boys, as seen most of the time, so I have no problem with it. People add AC, disk brakes, modern stereos, suspension, etc, to improve their trucks' function, so a Bedliner falls in that category to people as well. To be critical, if I had it done, it would be below the rails and pre tinted to match as stated above. Other than that, you can throw your kids bikes in the back, an ice chest full of beer and soda, or a scoop of pea gravel and you won't hurt it

I really like the truck and would love to buy it. I realized when I posted that my only comment could be taken as negative, but didn't want to create a huge post and decided to end it with that. I've been on here long enough for anyone who pays attention to know what I'm about. If I bought that truck I'd have no problem hiding that bedliner with an old school snap-on tonneau cover. Who cares about a bunch of teeny drilled holes in a bed with bedliner? It would bring the truck back to period correct.

I'm not a nitpicker, but I did post an opinion on one item. I can allow others to have an opinion other than mine without feeling they have to agree. I am very familiar with spray-in bedliners and was probably one of the first here to use Line-X (the best) color matched and with UV protectant. It's the bees knees in a truck that gets use...and also can hide a multitude of sin*. Which brings me to this truck. At the asking price range this truck is being valued on it's survivor/unrestored virtue, such as "all original paint". That is what I have been buying for a long time, not someone's shiney new paint. #1, the inside of the bed isn't original paint so not an all original paint truck anymore. #2, I wouldn't buy a truck like this for $15k to use as intended. #3, you can still use a truck as intended without bedliner...I do. I have run through the whole show quality thing with vehicles and am on the other side now. I won't own something I'm afraid to use as intended.

* I don't want to wonder what's hidden on a $15k unrestored original paint truck. The whole point is you see what you get.

Thanks for posting this. I suspect this is the case for a LOT of members here. Some people have to post negative comments, while others post just for the sake of arguing because they have nothing better to do.

That's a really nice truck.
I have a fiberglass bed cover on my truck that I can't stand. I don't have the $$$ to repaint where the paint's worn off on the top of the bedcaps and tailgate, so the cover stays for now.
I also have a black sprayon bedliner that's done nice, but the black is too much of a contrast to the orange. When and if I remove the bed cover I'll do the bedliner over in orange to match the truck.

I too "prefer" a painted bed, and yes, this one could have been done better as stated above. But still nice.

Each one of us has a different idea about how much those two items are worth. He's asking 15k. Doesn't mean he's going to get it.
