what makes your head spin
just wandering what really turns heads on these truck when done. I asked about chop tops and got good responses. I just started building my 4th one and I really want to make it with the wow factor. so short of the mega buck builds whats your ideas

The problem with people that shop tops is they almost ALWAYS over do it... I am not a fan of chopped tops on these trucks personally... JMHO

I'm also against chops on these trucks. Two things make me look, a great exhaust rumble and chrome. Cause alot of times, especially with 50s cars, the chrome is over the top and you can see it comin down the road a mile away

I like 4x4s so a short lift and tires proportional to the wheel openings is good. Not a lot of chrome or billet crap, or gigantic wheels w/ no sidewall left for the tire.
I'm no fan of lowered vehicles, particularly trucks, and prefer 3/4 or 1 tons. Obviously, I'm swimming upstream

A flatbed and spare tire up front of a 4 wheel drive that's got a major horse under the hood will get a lot of attention.

Little details like correct matching bolts and screws, properly and cleanly routed hoses and wires, matching gauges, and an overall look of concept, design, and cohesiveness. Also commonly missing parts like jack and tools for a restoration.

yeah I think a well planned out and detailed build is what makes it for me. all the little things, engine interior all perfect does not have to be politicaly correct but if it looks like it could have come from the factory love it. but I do like a short bed lowered with attitude.

Bone stock and restored to Pebble Beach standards like a piece of jewelry. But who cares what I or anyone else wants? You gotta like it and live with it, and as long as you don't plan to sell it to anyone else, what anyone else wants shouldn't matter TOO much...
