one piece driveshaft

I heard that you can use the driveshaft from 73 and up trucks, but does this include the 3/4 ton ones working on a 1/2 ton?

not many 73-up 3/4 tons used one piece, you could also use a car shaft out of a big car preferably one with th350 or 3 speed so the yoke is same for tranny.
Just depends on if you find one long enough that you can cut down to use in your truck correctly, tape measure is your best friend when doing this, measure from the end of your tranny output shaft back to the U joint cup seat in the axle yoke and then go junkyarding until you find a shaft in something thats same length or just a hair over the length, just as long as you dont have to cut more length out of the shaft to make it work than you have to work with, IE past where the shaft diameter enlarges at either end
