I need to build a cab stand to move the cab around the shop and would like to see pictures of other members cab stands they built. If you have some pictures of yours please post thanks. EJ

Hopefully you can get part of a spare frame just big enough to fit the cab onto. If so, read on. If not, the other members should have an idea for you.

I'm sure there are others who did this but what I did was take some thick pieces of angle iron, and mounted them in the best position possible to balance the cab with tires attached. I bought heavy duty pneumatic tires with casters attached from Northern Hydraulics I think. You can get them at other places too.

Line up the angle iron so that you can drill through the frame and angle iron to line up with the 4 holes in the mounting plates. Bolt them together good. The tires will hold the iron and the frame together.

It comes down to figuring out a way to mount all 4 tires properly so that the cab rolls decent. Won't take you long to figure out how things go together.

I did this a few years ago when I had my cab restored, but I have no pics of the setup.

Here is what I did when I was working on a 56 F*** cab. I constructed it out of 2X4's and used wheels that I got from Home Depot. I believe my total cost was $30 and I found it extremely helpful when they came and picked up the cab. I could move the cab in all directions with ease. Just my idea but it worked out well and only wish I had kept it and not let it go with the cab.

Four wheels and some wood, it aint hard, you arent going to be driving it down the street. :p

I have a few warehouse carts that I use, they are about 100 years old and wiegh 150 pounds but they do the trick.
