Re: Do these look like factory correct bucket seats

Hi Brian,

Good to see you on. I am not sure about the seats. They may be correct, but my first instinct is that the backs are rather narrow and tall looking. However, it could just be the way they are upholstered. It looks as though they came from a Blazer based on the brackets. It looks like the one on the left flips forward. Post some more pictures when you can.

Thanks Richard. I'll post more pics when I get them. I'm hoping that's tomorrow. They are definitely from a blazer. Talk to you later.

No , the truck buckets I have seen from this era look like camaro or chevelle buckets but are noticeably wider , those are narrower

Looks like 69/72 blazer buckets. The fact that the brackets are installed and fit is a good sign. Need more pics to confirm

Re: Do these look like factory correct bucket seats

A sideways pic would be helpful, to see the angle of the backrest. Measure the front "pegs" on the driver side seat brackets. They are 3" on 69-72 brackets and 4" on 73-up brackets.

I agree with the others ... the back just doesn't seem correct

Re: Do these look like factory correct bucket seats

The backs have the hard plastic covers but they have been wrapped. The other seat springs forward and has a single latch that anchors it to the floor when it is in the down position. The owners said they were pulled from a 71 blazer.

Re: Do these look like factory correct bucket seats

I want to grab them because the seats are clean and the foam is good.

Re: Do these look like factory correct bucket seats

The foam from 71-75 is the same so without more pics it's impossible to say. If the driver brackets are correct, there is a good chance the seats are as well.

Re: Do these look like factory correct bucket seats

If your passenger brackets are like the seat in post 12 on the linked thread (seat without plastic back, and smaller lever) I'd say the seats are probably correct as well

Re: Do these look like factory correct bucket seats

If the price is right pick them up. To recap...The seats will be hard to determine, until you purchase and visually inspect up close. The passenger brackets are easy to discern by pics alone, and driver brackets can be verified by a simple measurement of the pegs.

Re: Do these look like factory correct bucket seats

Seat foam and brackets are in great shape. Driver pegs measure 3.5". The passenger brackets don't match the ones from post #12. The lever is located on the side. I went ahead and grabbed them but I'm not sure what I got...

sorry to blow up the thread but I think I figured it out. Utility blazer bucket brackets with mid 70's low back seats.
