Engine mount/Tower help - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a 72 C10 that I bought with a 454. The 454 was sitting on small block towers and the driver side one was absolutely butchered from PO. I have a set of BB towers for 68-71 and it appears that they would move the engine back in the compartment. Basically what I need to know is, will the BB towers I have work on my 72 and if so does it move the engine back towards the fire wall?

And any other help would be appreciated.
