1965 C10 1 owner original paint perfect patina solid and straight top to bottom front to back Factory AC The bad: interior has been painted black, no big deal to fix not running Inline 6 has had valve cover off quite awhile so may need new motor needs trim and lights Should make a sweet truck, lowered, wheels new trim and buffed He is asking $4k but it seems pretty high to me [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] |

Re: New truck whats it worth?
Wrong section lol but for a non runner with an i6 4k is way too high. 1.5-2k max, at least around here. Unless its exceptionally rust free and straight. Then add 500 imo. Good luck, if the cab corners and rockers, above the windshield, fender bottoms, doors, any of it is rusted through just walk away. Or offer 1200 and work from there.

Re: New truck whats it worth?
Just because of the patina and no dents, if there's no rust-through, I'd pay $3,500 easy.
Those perfect patina trucks are getting harder and harder to find. Just my 2c

Re: New truck whats it worth?
honestly i wouldn't pay more thank 1k and even that seems like a lot. New engine, tires, lights, wiring is probably screwed. You'll be 5k into it before its even on the road. I'd walk away. 4k is high and most guys wont drop their price that much.
I just hopped on craigslist.org and found a whole bunch of 65's near me that are running driving trucks for less than 5k and I live in so-cal(the land of overpriced crap). The price seems all wrong on that one. |

Re: New truck whats it worth?
I'm not sure what your plan is to finish it but you can dump a bunch of money in a hurry. I paid $7,500 for my 1970 SWB, I bought it this July. I have already put over $3,000 into her, drop kit and front disc brake conversion, new drums and shoes in the back. HEI distrbuter for the inline six. New tires and alignment. It adds up in a hurry. I'd be carefully what you spend because parts aren't cheap even if you do the work yourself.

Re: New truck whats it worth?
I'd keep my money.
Bought this one about four years ago with a running 327 (4 speed w/granny) for $750. Put two days and fifty bucks in it. Then parked it on the hill for three years. Then gave it away. Prices in every locale are different. Like this place is different...For 67-72's. Not that I care.

Re: New truck whats it worth?
As per my previous post, I paid $7500 for my 1970 SWB inline 6-250 w/ 3 speed manual. Runs like top.

Re: New truck whats it worth?
I would say you have a little more than patina on the hood. I agree with j. Kirn, $2500 at the very most. You may have to wait a little while, but there are better deals here in the south.

Re: New truck whats it worth?
I would be tickled pink to buy that for $1,500. I would probably pay up to $2,500 for it. I am a 67-72 guy and don't follow these, what's all that nice original sheet metal worth?
If the body is the way you want it (patina), then you don't have far to go. Most of us can handle the mechanical stuff, it's the body that takes the most time and money.

Re: New truck whats it worth?
If that was near me here in the rust belt is be all over it .
The turds for sale around here are that much with more rust holes then sheet metal

Re: New truck whats it worth?
4k is way high but the people saying a few hundred bucks are also off there rockers. It looks quite straight. If the floors/supports/rockers/corners are all solid I would say 2k.

Re: New truck whats it worth?
$4,000.00 sound 's like a lot but figure it up . If there is no rust and straight,I always kind of figure in my head what each component would be worth to resell. I have seen rust free cab's that one guy told me he paid 1100.00 for that. Rust free door's 200.00 to 300.00 each ,bed 500 or more . I know it's not a short bed which would bring more, $500.00 for fender's .Tail gate for 300.00 or more plus factory ac which bring's big buck's if complete 800.00 or more .There $3800.00.Still have to figure running gear,so yeah a tough pill to swallow ,but the guy know's what he has.IF it is rust free you won't have to buy any sheet metal. Of course if you can get it cheaper that's in your favor.
