New to the board

New to the board and I just figured I would share some picks of my 70 c10. I purchased it in June from the original owner. He ordered it new in 70 as a tow rig for his boat. Has a 402BB, 3 speed on the column, power steering, H/D power brakes, H/D cooling and rear step bumper. 45000 original miles. Here are some pics from the original craigslist posting.

Re: New to the board

Nice truck and welcome. That is a cool truck the big block and 3 on the tree and i don't ever remember seeing one on the site. Just a thought here if your truck still has the original engine, in 1970 they were still installing the 396 engine and didn't use the 402 until 1971 . Does you spid label show 396 or 400 as the engine size?

Thanks, and I agree its an interesting engine/transmission combination. The SPID reads 400 but I have not had a chance to look up the numbers on the block to get the details on it.

Re: New to the board

Could always buy some 15x10 rallies or steelies. That's the route i kind of want to go until I do a disk swap. That way you could fit a 285/?/15 tire back there. Or a 295.

Thanks for the welcome, and the truck is familiar with your area as until recently it spent its entire life in Alabama.
