Looking for a set of mirrors again
I just got a PM from someone that for now will be nameless, but it seems that he has sold a set of mirrors to a higher bidder after we had a deal. Totally uncool. I was going to lower myself to his level and post his PM's on the site but I think it may be against the rules of the board. Anyway, Im still looking for a set of the "stainless" not painted, below eye mirror set, not the huge camper swing out but the ones with the smaller bracket and the same size head.
If anyone has a set that is taking up space, Im in the market. I have 2 trucks that I need to put these on and I have one set on its way that I traded the smaller sport mirrors for. I would hate to post what this fine young man referred to the people of this board as.. It was rather degrading. Im itching to post his reply to me. If you have a set and want to sell, email me pbjohnson2@aol.com or Oregonman1024@aol.com Thanks |

they are the smaller tri pod type that were an option on the 71 72 trucks. I dont want the LMC or Chevy Duty replacement ones. I can buy them at Autozone all day for $20

I feel that my problem was a misunderstanding due to the PM feature on the site. Sometimes it just dosnt work. Im giving this person the benifit of the doubt. I feel it would be in poor taste on my part as of now to say any negitive anything regarding another member since there was a PM problem. All is well as of now. I think I have the correct mirrors on the way. If not, I will be posting again and asking for help in finding a good set..
Thanks Guys! |

THESE???
I know it is really hard to get a few people to "Do what they say they are going to do". Some of our simplest deals take forever and just don't come out right. I would sometimes like to ID some folks, but the wars don't seem to be worth it!
Are these the mirrors? They appear to be GM. I have a good pair. |

Phil, I am sending you PMs (because I know you love them so much) and emails and all kinds of correspondence.
Class of 69, If you don't have to have original, check with bigger truck suppliers. They have replacements in all different sizes/lengths. |

Mirrors
The ones on my wifes truck look shorter to me,but I am not sure if they were original GM parts,I did get them off a 72.
I think this style were called trailer mirrors, but I could be wrong.

Yeah, it's the one from the tri-pod to the mirror head...90 degree. They need to be very nice chrome, or stainless. Thanks

FYI
The pair on Dusti's white Chevy are the after market ones that you can get at K mart, Wallmart and Autozone.. FRENCHBLUE.. I think the ones that Deadeye has dont have the 90 degree arm, just the other parts of the brackets less the mirror heads.. Luke, Im headed to Traffic court to beat my seatbelt ticket as I have in my wallet my "get out of jail free card" Issued by the fine state of OREGON. Ill be gone until about 1:30 so if you want to head to Deadeyes, Im on fot the afternoon. I need to get pulled over. Then wip out my pass! :p :p Last edited by Phillip Johnson; 08-21-2003 at 08:16 PM. |

The one on dusti's appear to be origanal to me. They are identical to the origanal below the eyeline mirrors on my 72 SWB 4X4 only in stainless. Mine are on the option sheet also. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
