WTB - GM Custom Feature Accessories

Looking for:

GM NOS side step inserts for a fleet side - need 2 (PURCHASED)
GM NOS interior cargo tie downs - need 8 (NEED 2 MORE. Used restorable condition OK)
Complete Cruise-master speed control set up - (Found and Purchased) Thanks

I prefer NOS but am happy to get restorable originals and as much of the hardware and templates/mounting instructions as possible. Installing on my 1969 K20.

Thanks guys.

Re: WTB - GM Custom Feature Accessories

I have a dealer add on underdash A/C unit. It is just the evaporator and blower motor but it will clean up nice. $150 shipped if you're interested

Re: WTB - GM Custom Feature Accessories

Can you post an example pic of the cargo hooks? I've got NOS GM accessory cargo tie downs but these go inside the stake pockets and am curious what the hooks you're after look like.

The step inserts shouldn't be a tough fine but may have better luck with a dedicated WTB for this and the other wanted items. Who knows, maybe this one is available: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=609894 or Mel still has these: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=357199

Re: WTB - GM Custom Feature Accessories

Thanks for the post Trevor I couldn't get mine attached. That's exactly what I'm looking for. The original literature shows them coming in a set of 8. 2 on each bedside and 4 in the floor.
Pete - appreciate the links, I'll check with Mel.

What year of truck do you need the cruise system for. I have a 1967-68 and a 1968-70 system for sale.

I purchased a rebuilt 72 cruise master setup from Roger and am extremely pleased (in fact I'd take one more!). You can buy with confidence from him.

Re: WTB - GM Custom Feature Accessories

I put those tie downs in my truck back when it was new in 1972 and they rusted down inside the dished area almost right away. The plating was poor . I took them to a plater and had them chromed. But evidently it is hard to get any kind of plating down in the bottom. They also rusted. So I acid etched them and painted them body color, which wears off on the tie down loops. I could not eliminate them because I now had 3 1/2" holes in my bed floor. Maybe you will not care about the rust but I thought you might consider this before buying them. Ken

Re: WTB - GM Custom Feature Accessories

Ken...thanks for your post and insights, I really appreciate it. The truck I'm mounting them in is always garaged and used only occasionally to haul. My intent was to chrome or paint them. It's basically a show truck and it's loaded missing only a few obscure options. Thanks again I really do appreciate your comments!!

Re: WTB - GM Custom Feature Accessories

I may have a set of used side steps in my grandads old barn. He had a 67 truck that had them in it and I think they are still there, I will check and see. I dont know if they are factory or not. I dont know what the factory GM ones looked like, but I will check if you are interested!
