Cool Lets see some Artillery!!!

I have a pair of 15x5 or 15x6" (unsure) Artillary wheels on the back of my '53

It needs new tires, and I figure it would be cool to move these up to the front, and get a pair of 15x8 for the rear so all four match.

I've done a bunch of searching, and don't see too many of these on AD trucks...
I attached a couple pics i found on HotRods website... I'm thinking similar sizing & stance for my truck, but black wall tires.

Anybody out there running Artillery wheels & want to share some pics?

Thanks!
Ben

Re: Lets see some Artillery!!!

Here's my wife's levitating panel truck.

Question, I notice these rims have the centers riveted to the outsides. Are they sealed in a way that allows them to be run tubeless?
If not, that might explain why none of the tires held air for more than a day or two.

Re: Lets see some Artillery!!!

Pic of the ones from my truck... I've repainted these, and the other stock ones semi-gloss black so they'd all match.

Thinking about going gunmetal grey on the wheels when i get the new ones... Might also see if i can get some cans of the green made up to match the little bit of green left on the truck.

They'll get new stainless caps & narrow ribbed rings.

Re: Lets see some Artillery!!!

Anyone step up to wheel vintiques 17 inch artilleries yet? I saw them at the Santa Maria West Coast Customs show last year on a rolling chassis but have seen them on a finished truck yet.

Re: Lets see some Artillery!!!

3 tries at tires that would fit with offset , bagged rear etc. But they are on and rolling.

17X7 4.5 BS and a 215/65/17 tire is THE MAX it will accept. Im playing with longer rear studs, spacers and adapters tomorrow night to "center" the wheel in the tub/fender to get full drop in the rear. With the stock wheels and a 225/75/15 it would lay 1/2 off the pavement. Its now 1 1/4, not a big deal, but I think I can move the wheel out a smidge and get it to drop over the tire.

Jim Carter on the filler?

Re: Lets see some Artillery!!!

Curious: Anyone ever put artilleries on a Task Force truck?
