47-54 frame
Has anyone used
www.progressiveautomotive.com Im looking to put an X frame into my original AD frame to help stiffen it up before adding a chev 350 engine and an independant front suspension kit. I already have a TCI rear leaf spring suspension installed. I also have a 10 bolt chevy rear axle taken from a 76 Camaro, will this be a good axle to use or will it be to wide/narrow? Thanks for any help. |

I haven't used his parts yet though I did stop by his shop when I was considering his frame for my Suburban build. Owner Bob Shertrone showed me the quality of their builds, how they build their products, provided a great tour of the shop and took his time to answer my questions. I wouldn't hesitate to use his products.

I can't stress this enough, the stock AD frame is WAY, WAY more than enough for ANY small block chevy you are every going to run on the street. WAY WAY more than enough.
Unless you are running an 800 hp motor and super sticky tires or slicks or something, there is simply no need for anything like that. If that is your concern, for goodness sakes build your truck around that stock frame and rock on. Brian
