B&MTorque converter FS

New B&M torkmaster 2000 torque converter for chevy TH350/400. Was bolted in the truck, but I had change of plans and went with a very nasty big block with a 9" converter. $50 plus shipping. E-mail me @ bburns@vikingtg.com or call 814-333-2704. Thanks. Brian

How used is it? Did you run it or decide to change before, ie: how many miles are on it? My neighbor might want it for his camaro. Can you get me an approximate shipping cost to 48083 ZIP code.

Thanks,

torque converter

It wasn't used at all. The motor was in place with no wiring (never fired). I ballparked the weight and came up with a shipping cost of $10.50.

It fits the large diameter flexplate right? I'll ask my neighbor when I see him tonight. How much over stock is a 2000 stall? Stock is like 1000 or less right? It will give his Camaro a little more punch off the line. He'll like that. And it's cheap, he'll like that even more.

Stock is more like 1500 - 170 I believe.
I have a 1900 in mine and in day to day traffic, you forget it is even there. When you stomp it, you can feel it, but not onless you know it is there.
Pretty much invisable.

So would there be much difference in stock and a 2000 stall converter? I don't want to tell him it'll be better to find out it's only so-so. It's cheap, and I think for the price, it won't matter much. What do you think?

Well, you can tell when you hit the gas, but it is a subtle differance.
I think i had a 8 foot patch before and a 12 foot after the converter swap. (burn out patch)
Maybe I understated it up there.

Cool, just want to be sure there is a diference. He wants to put in as little as possible and still get some improvments. I told him he should get a higher stall converter, so he might go for this. He wasn't home tonight, but I will se him by the weekend.

Thanks

Is it still for sale? If so, let me know. I might be interested. I will check back tonight.

NeonLarry,

If you want it go ahead, I haven't seen my neighbor to ask yet. If you want it take it. I was going to do him a favor, but he won't come home to talk to so screw him. I don't want to wait around and have someone else not get it.

Yep. That's my suburban. I just brought it home yesterday. I detailed the hell out of it and I'm going to take it to the Canfield swap meet to sell in September. My 81 is down there too. My buddy is starting up a car lot there. I have way too many toys. Wanna buy some!!??? Neon Larry, I sent you a PM.
