Add a center console?

So here's my dilemma. My ride is a '70 C10 with original seats. I'm a big fan of the original bench seat (which seems to put me in the minority) however I really want to add a center console. So does anyone know if its possible to have an upholstery shop cut in and install a fold down center console into the factory seat? Or if there's a model year that has that option but retain the normal bench seat look? I just don't want to swap in modern looking seats to obtain the console that I'm after. Any help/advice/pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Could just pick up some buddy buckets and have the upholstery redo them and add a back to the center console area. I have seen some buddy buckets in rough shape around on Craig's list. Not exactly a bench seat, but somewhat close and should get something that looks good.
