Looking For A Tonneau Cover for My 68 Shortbed
Per the title, looking for a retractable tonneau for my 68 K10 Shortbed. Looked around on various sites and couldn't find one--anyone know if anything is being made for these trucks?
Thanks, Dave. |

Re: Looking For A Tonneau Cover for My 68 Shortbed
I purchased this one from AutoAnything. There weren't a lot options and the others were quite a bit more money. I caught this on a Labor Day sale ($229) and also got free shipping.

Re: Looking For A Tonneau Cover for My 68 Shortbed
Thanks guys, that helps. It looks like they do have one for the "standard" bed or 6'6" which I think is applicable. Your take? I'm thinking of the "TruXedo Lo Pro QT Soft Roll-Up Tonneau Cover". No snaps which would be optimal.
Thanks, Dave. |

Re: Looking For A Tonneau Cover for My 68 Shortbed
Just installed the Extang Black Max Tonneau on my 63 longbed tonight. Nice product. I really think I'm going to be happy with it. Sorry no pictures

Re: Looking For A Tonneau Cover for My 68 Shortbed
To add to the question, anyone have any experience with the aluminum roll up covers that work like a loading dock door? I've seen them advertised and priced, but it says for the 67-72 it uses a "shim rail" or something like that.

I pretty much hate them. But it's essential to keep honest men honest. A crook will rip right through them. Taking the garbage, etc. is way less fun than if I had one of those roll up$. Wish I did. Don't.

Look at the Extang Revolution...no snaps or Velcro and low profile... I've seen one on a 1972 LWB Looks like a sweet cover.
