Will a 1957 Chevy truck hood fit a 1956 Chevy truck? Thanks for the help!!

Yes, the 57 hood will fit on a 55 or 56. That is the way my truck came. Someone really cobbled up my truck. 57 hood on a 55, longbed frame cut off for a shortbed truck,.....
I am getting ready to buy a new 55 hood, so the 57 hood will be up for sale. I am with highsider, it is a crime to put the wrong hood on the truck, either way. |

I salvaged the only decent piece of sheet metal - the hood - off of a beat up '57. I'm going to put it on my '55 with the '55 grill, I like that combo, too.

In the early 70's the first thing a guy who was starting to fix up a 57 did was put a 55 or 56 hood on it and quite often the eggcrate grill to go with it.

my truck is a '57 with a '56 grill. No hood lines because its a custom tilt nose
