I bought my kit from Brothers. The kit worked real well except for the inside felt strip clips did not line up right with the door. I was able to rig it to where it looks decent but not perfect as I like things. Maybe someone else here can comment on that if they have had that same problem. One more thing is that I don't see anyway of drilling a hole that is required on the front of the door, without taking it all the way off. My truck was in the process of being built when I put the window kit in, so the doors were already off. Good luck, you will be pleased with the "clean" looking results.

Oldtrucknut I drilled the hole from the inside of the door. With the regulator out, I was able to get a 3/8" drill in there. Drilled through the channel with a small bit then removed the channel and used the proper sized bit.

Hey Brother's man,

Yes, I am absolutely sure about those clips being off. I called when I was installing them just to make sure everything was right. I can't remember what was said during the conversation, but I remember that the rep did not have just the felts to swap with me. So, I decided it would probably be easier to "make them work" If you have any other solutions or suggestions email me at rt3386@aol.com. I thank you for your concern.

Mothertruckers,

OOPS!

I am sorry, I thought you were with brothers. I did not even look at the name.

i have had bad luck with my one piece setup. the window is wobbly even with the anti rattlers in the door. i have to push it out for it to stay in the channel. i was very dissapointed at the cost for what i got. i think i could have made the couple pieces that came with it. except for the glass and new rubbbers, you have to modify all your original stuff. i think i will stick with the vent next time.

BROTHERS 1967-72 One-Piece Windows

oldtrucknut: Sounds like you've already made a small mod to the felts that's working for you, but I'll offer anyway... if you want to try and swap some different felts into your truck, I'd gladly send you a set at no charge. Originally, we installed the clips by hand and inconsistancy was a factor, so we did away with that method. We've been using a jig to position clips in our One-Piece Window Felts sets for the past few years and have had virtually no problems. Let me know.

lotik: The problems you have described can be remedied easily. Please contact BROTHERS Customer Service and we will help you to correct your "wobbles".

Hey Steve,

Thanks for your offer to make those window felts right. I will email you right now. It is good to see that there are still companies out there that go out of their way to take care of a customer!

Thanks again.
