vin help
I've been searching all day and have had no luck. Can anyone help me figure out what year frame i have?its a long bed 4x4 frame. This is all that is stamped on the frame:ZA22557.Any help would be appreciated.Im trying to figure out what year frame i have so i can figure out what springs i will need for the front.I read somewhere that the 67-68 4x4 springs are different. Is there a way to tell if i have a 67-68 4x4 frame by measuring?HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Re: vin help
Thinking it might be a 69 GMC built at Fremont, CA. Bruceman1968 is going to have to chime in here.
Now did you get a title to that frame on a non-op?

Re: vin help
If you show pictures I can most likely help. We could at least tell you weather you can use the 69-72 springs or not. If no picture is possible, what is the width of the springs at the ends?

That would be cool though.69 is my favorite year. No i didn't get a title for this frame.I traded my 2wd frame for this 4x4 frame. I have a title on non op for my cab.So when i do the inspection, ill tell them i changed frames and have this number added to my title. Its a salvaged title ,so it was never guna be all original anyways... On a Chevrolet the frame VIN is eight digits. Year, plant and the serial (six digits). The GMC is a little different. In this case: Z Fremont, CA asembly plant A 1969 (B 1968 & Z 1970) 22557 unit serial number (10001 was start of MY) http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=570059 Quote:
