Ramsond CUT 50DY?

Have any of you heard of or used the Ramsond CUT 50DY plasma cutter? I've been thinking a plasma cutter is in the distant future, but the price right now on Amazon is really low. So does anyone know if it's any good? I'm not looking for something to do production work, just to make occasional cuts here and there for working on the Blazer and fabrication around the house and shop.

Re: Ramsond CUT 50DY?

consumables and service would make me buy a hypertherm, those china plasma cutters are throw away
hypertherm is probably 10 times the cost of that china built and will last 100 times longer

though i have to ask why you need a plasma cutter?
i have access to a couple and never use them; i use a 4'' grinder with a disk to cut metal
i did set up a cnc plasma cutter for my neighbor's shop, that thing is sweet

"Need" is such a strong word, especially when we're talking about tools. I have a 4 1/2" grinder that cuts just fine if I want something relatively straight. A plasma cutter would be nice for shapes.

Honestly, I'll probably save the money and use it for parts to get the Blazer back on the road. But it looks like an incredible deal.
