Shot leaf springs? Measurement needed

I have been running chasing my tail trying to get front shocks set up properly. I was fairly sure I'd positioned the upper mounts correctly but when I go to install standard length shocks on my stock-height truck, I'm darn near bottomed out. 2" up travel and the shock is done.
Does anyone have a measurement from spring to frame or from hub to fender or something for a stock height, healthy leaf spring? I'm trying to determine whether I should re-arch / replace the spring or move the mount.
