Video/Picture Thread: VFD Parades
I fell upon this video of my town's annual fireman's carnival parade and wanted to share it with you all. I saw there were a whole lot of other town parades and thought maybe others here would have a fireman's parade with a pictures or a video. Any pictures of local equipment is surely welcome (I hope this link works)

Re: Video/Picture Thread: VFD Parades
Did you notice how nice that fire house's equipment was? That was Sandy Spring and that is a very old rural town (lots of history) I lived near when I was a kid. I remember the old firehouse and how finely detailed their trucks were. I guess that B Mack was one of them. It's about 30 miles down the road. That whole county has built up over the last 40 years but that area stays the same. The old farm I've done a lot of restoration work on is in that community. Most companies are rural towns where the VFDs are held high in pride. Some are from pretty far away, but I notices a couple neighboring companies are absent. I guess they're covering for Mt. Airy calls.

Re: Video/Picture Thread: VFD Parades
Yea, I noticed lots of nice new equipment. Too much new equipment in fact. I had to do a lot of fast-forward to get to the older stuff. But I'm sure the video wasn't made just for us, huh?

Re: Video/Picture Thread: VFD Parades
I'd like to see all the vintage stuff go through together. I never cared too much about fire trucks , military, etc. I always like the trucks you see every day doing everyday things. It all interests me more now, but the fire trucks I like the most are the ones built off of cab & chassis, like the tankers usually still are. I guess I like what I can relate to. Never cared about building models of ships or planes, either.
