I would also like to see some more detailed pics of your truck.

Have fun

if it's just short-term till spring just change the oil and filterfill gas tank with hi-test and add fuel stabilizer a good wash and wax and you'd be set

I know a guy that has a 69 pace car that uses a thing that looks like the bubble the bubble boy was in that movie, and dust doesnt even make it through. I am sure it won't last out side very long but I just thought I would let you know about it.

Anyone ever heard of parking the thing, and on the last shutdown of the year, get the revs up, and pour ATF down the carb til it chokes itself and stalls? I've heard of this being done; apparently does something for lubrication. Old wise tale or a practical storage tactic? (No, I won't try with mine and let you all know how I end up .)

I have heard of used car lots using atf and sometimes a water sprayer (squirt bottle) to break up carbon on real old motors but never to store one, but guess on a solid lifter motor it would coat the cylinders w/ oil in case one of the cylinders was stopped w/ a valve open, and it might prevent rusting but the cylinders would be hot enough to burn off any oil

The ATF trick does work.

Here's what's recommended for engine storage.

Fresh oil and filter. Fresh antifreeze. Fill gas tank with your usual grade of gas, add stabilizer when you fill it. Driving it home will get it into the carb. Remove spark plugs, shoot a teaspoon engine oil into each cylinder, turn engine over a few times, then install plugs finger tight. (THis can be accomplished with the ATF). Remove the battery, and place it where it won't freeze, but not in contact with a concrete floor. Charge the battery monthly.

For the vehicle.

A cocoon is nice, but not always affordable. At the least, jack and block so the tires aren't on the ground. Put some moth balls in margerine tubs in the cab, along with some rat poison to keep out the critters. Tarp the cab if you can.
