Re: Got anothern'
If your gonna part this truck please let me know.
I could use the door panels. If your keeping it, lots of good parts to start with for that price! Mike

Re: Got anothern'
Thanks guys! I think I'm going to keep it whole and drive the wheels off of it until I'm done restoring my 68. My grandfather and I have decided to switch on and off restoration projects so a restore will have to wait until we are done with his (Undecided) baby . Any one know what the pickup box floor is?

Re: Got anothern'
Looks like a later model wrong-year hood.
See if you can't find a 67-68 Chevy or a GMC hood while you're there. Cool find, tho. Congrats. |

Re: Got anothern'
in have never seen a red interior with a fawn dash. it looks factory too. what is "R SUSPENSION UNIT"? I am assuming rear suspension but what does this include? anyone know? Post some engine photos. I would love to see that oil bath still sitting on the engine. such a vintage look! P.S. if you don't want to keep it I know someone who does lol. ME

Re: Got anothern'
it looks like the right hood. see the CHEVROLET letters on the hood and the hood seems to line up with the fenders ok in the pic.
sent you pics of the steer wheel to your e mail bud

Re: Got anothern'
Pretty heart-broken..I guess I counted my chickens before they hatched. Drove 3 hours with a trailer to pick it up. Got there and checked it out.. this thing is slaughtered...definitely made out to be WAY better than it was.. almost no floor left, rockers gone (No surprise on that), doors have holes, fenders have holes, hood has holes, and the final let down: the block was frozen with no antifreeze.. had to pass and I am super bummed. Normally I would have been really "Gung Ho" about a restoration but I was really hoping for something drive-able, such as a decent c10 for a 67-68.

Doesn't really matter at all to me, just the photos make it look like the "more-vertical" hood-front from the later years. Probably had the correct letters added. Just doesn't look right to me. Or maybe I'm wrong. No matter. BOW: Sorry you missed out. Photos often make projects look way-better than they really are. Drawing for reference (not mine) from my "saved" files. Look at "front of hood slope" of the 67 & 68 models, Vs later years: Last edited by 68shortstep; 01-08-2015 at 05:55 PM. Reason: correct typo |
