Hi everyone! I just became a member today, and i really need to find out the origi al motor to my car. I have checked my SPID sheet for info but all it shows is paint color and options. It does not show what the original motor was. Someone help please! By the way, may as well introduce her

My 1968 Chevy C10 Pickup. Shes a long-bed with a 350 2bbl motor and a GMC front clip! Shes going to get a frame-off restoration within the mext few years and i cant wait to see the finished product!!! Thanks everyone! And yes, the cap is being removed haha! Sorry i cant post any pictures right now of her, i cant find a way to post them as I am currently on my phone haha! Ill get around to pictures soon!!!

If no motor is listed it either had a 250 6 cylinder or a 307 8 cylinder. If your Vin starts with cs its a 250 if it starts with ce its a 307

. And also, do you know the original paint options they had for a 68'? Mine is a bright red, and on the SPID it shows Red/Off-White. I just want to see what that would possibly look like so i can bring my truck back to looking original! Thank you!!!!

I don't know off hand but there's some members here that have loads of original literature that I'm sure will comment. When you get a chance to hop on a computer, post up some pics. This is the most amazing board there is for knowledge and help!

Paint code 544 red/off-white two-tone 68 Longhorn 20 CST. This is 514 red and 526 off-white/ivory.
