Steering Wheel Question

I'm sure this has been asked a lot, so if you know the link where I can find the answers- thank you!
With this steering wheel- Can it be found from a vendor OTHER than eBay, and can it be had with a plain horn button?

I run this exact steering wheel. It is a Corvette reproduction.

They can be found through several Corvette restoration vendors.

You are going to have to piece the assembly together. There are 2 different mounting hubs, they go together the same but the outside diameter needs to be matched to your steering column.

For my horn button, I used a thin round aluminum GMC emblem with double sided tape over the center in your pic.

Check out my build thread to see pics. Let me know if you have further questions.

Shane

What steering column did you use?

Wink Re: Steering Wheel Question

I have almost the same wheel. Any good Corvette vendor should have these wheels. I put the truck hub on the wheel. It's just a tad bigger than the column but it never bothered me. Some people just file the edge down before they paint them.

Corvette wheel

SS Chevelle wheel. This is what I run now.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Thanks a bunch!

The emblem is an ebay item. Heres a link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/4pcs-Wheel-C...8ad8ac&vxp=mtr

That is a set of four, but I found a single.

The steering column is a Flaming River that I bought from a vendor here on the board. I ended up sourcing the wheel/hub/horn button from a local restoration house and the emblem from ebay.

Hope this helps,
Shane
