Speedo

I was wondering why there is a little hole in my '52 trucks speedo between 40 and 50 mile ... Behind this little hole sits a bulb, but this bulb does not work ... Probably a stupid question ... Anyone?

Re: Speedo

Not sure as I don't have a AD but could it be the headlight high beam indicator light?

Re: Speedo

Could be. The light behind the hole is not connected, so I wouldn't know.

Re: Speedo

My high beam indicator is the small hole on the bottom of the gauge. I don't have a light between 40-50.

Re: Speedo

I should have also said this is for a '49. Not sure if they changed anything between the years.

Re: Speedo

It is definitely the hi beam and should have a red piece of plastic behind the hole so it shows red.

Re: Speedo

Are you planning a refurb or just cleaning them up? I did a refurb but haven't installed yet.
