Help identifying this color

I recently purchased this 1972 chevy k20. The vin tag on the truck, and the
Frame are matching, but the spid label on the glove boxs that says the option info is not the one for the truck. I'm looking to do some paint touch up and am trying to find out what color this is, and if it looks to be a factory color.

Re: Help identifying this color

Thanks a bunch to all who replied, this sight has been
A life saver for me on restoring the front suspension, power
Steering, etc...
If it does turn out to be med blue, do I just take a sample
Or paint code to an auto paint store, such as wesco auto body supply's?
Thanks again for everyone's help, Jeremy

Re: Help identifying this color

Take the code to the paint supplier, GM 510 medium blue/ PPG 2188, or if for some reason they can't match up, take your glovebox door to be scanned.

Re: Help identifying this color

Go to a paint Store... They will have a meter they can lay on the paint and will give them the formula for the color... This will also allow them to cross reference it to a actual year and make of vehicle it is off of as long as it is not a custom mix... Even if it is a custom mix it will give them the formula to mix the paint...

Re: Help identifying this color

It wouldn't hurt to take the glove box door with you to the paint store. It's only a few screws
