thanks! the engine had 73-75 heads, intake, and exhaust so that would make sense.

Re: distributer: what do i have?

i don't know much about ignition systems, i'm trying to figure out what parts to keep and what to get rid of. i take it this is worth keeping around? i eventually will be building either this 396 or a 427 for street use.

Re: distributer: what do i have?

guess you need to come clean. Was this running or not! for simple yes the big cap HEI is good/and easy as long as you feed it 12v. If you are going freakshow then you need crank trigger ign.

Re: distributer: what do i have?

They are good easy distributors. Just make sure you feed it 12volts. Vetvette has a good thread among others. I hear tell 75 vette hei plug wires fit the rams horn exhaust.
