Trans oil sag 4 speed

I'm dropping a used Saginaw 4 speed into my 63 c10.
What is the proper / best gear lube. I read the gl5 may be harmful to the brass parts.
Thank you.

the GL5 container says it helps bronze bushings. lots of guys use it. I've been playen with saginaws for 45 yrs. and just use the same thing as I put in the rear end. makes life easy. I have a 63 with a Saginaw 4 sp. and I'm usen GL 1
